Further Applications
Diode lasers are a very effective and compact heat source which can be adapted for a wide range of different applications by adding further components or special optics.

Diode Laser Applications
Often the diode laser enables completely new methods of production that have come to a practical limitation with conventional techniques or that are not cost-efficient with other lasers.
These include soldering and all thermally-assisted processes.
Cutting of Plastic Materials

- LDF 600 – 500 with cutting head
- Power 400 W
- Spot diameter 400 µm
- Speed 5m/min
Laser-Assisted Machining, LAM, of Ceramics

- Processing of brittle materials
- High process speed
- Reduced wear of tools
Laser-assisted forming
- Forming of special materials
- Catalysor, TiAL6V4
- Direct diode laser, high process speed
- Reduced wear of tools
Pumping of Fiber and Disk Lasers
Modern diode pumped solid state lasers are used for cutting oft hick sheets and for remote welding of metals. They are either based on single emitters or on diode lasers as pump-source. Laserline's diode lasers are superior pump sources for fiber and disk lasers, offering world class brightness and power levels. Our wavelength stabilization scheme combined with the narrow bandwidth diodes allow for high efficiency pumping. Many of the leading labs world wide use our diodes to power their lasers, often leading to world record performance.
